CCTV surveys are a well proven and established method of finding faults in pipeline systems. A high quality color pan and rotate camera is either pushed along on a rod through the pipeline or is mounted on a tractor unit that drives itself along the section to be surveyed. Both cameras send the picture via a cable to the CCTV inspection vehicle in real time. This is shown on a monitor for the operative and the client to see.

Reporting
The flexibility of CCTV surveying techniques and technology used extends further the range of reporting options on offer. With every survey carried out we produce a fully comprehensive written and DVD format report. All reports are generated to international sewer coding standards (OS20X classification) or tailored to suit client’s needs, this is to ensure that the report is easy to understand by the client. With this report you can also choose various extras to be included or sent with it. These are listed below:
• Still images of problem areas
• Detailed map giving location of sewer
• Video of survey on DVD video or Mpeg format.
Equipment
We currently use CCTV systems from Spectel and Ipek. With the current systems we have in place, we are able to inspect pipes that are 100mm in diameter to 1250mm in diameter. They both feature high quality color cameras with built in lighting.
